Emily Couvillon Alagha ’19 was published in the BMJ Journal of Health & Care Informatics. The objective of the study was “to assess the quality and accuracy of the voice assistants (VAs), Amazon Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant, in answering consumer health questions about vaccine safety and use.” Her groundbreaking research explores how common VAs can provide a wide variety of answers to common vaccine safety questions…and not all of them are accurate.
Emily is currently working on a capstone project with PharmedOut under the tutelage of Dr. Fugh-Berman. She will graduate in December 2019.
