The M.S. Health and the Public Interest (HAPI) program heartily congratulates Jackson Hoffman on both representing the Graduate School at the annual CASE workshop and winning a first-place grant at the SFS Global Impact Pitch Competition!

Jackson is a current MS HAPI student with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. He was sponsored by the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences to attend the CASE workshop on Catalyzing Advocacy for Science and Engineering, an 3-day event that breaks down science policy, advocacy, and effective science communications.

A few days later, Jackson and his friend, Madeline Jones of the Georgetown M.S. Microbiology and Immunology program, presented their pitch for the SFS Global Impact Competition finals, winning the grand prize of $8,000 to start their project! The two students presented Tracker-Rx, an app that will help individuals track allergens in their medications.

Way to go, Jackson; we can’t wait to see what you do this summer!
